How to Accept Christ as Your Personal Savior

How do I Accept Jesus as my Savior?

Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart, waiting to be let in. Though you cannot see Him with your physical eyes, He is there – more real and present than the chair you are sitting on.

To accept Jesus as your personal savior, start by acknowledging that He died on the cross to pay the price for your sins.

Confess your wrongdoings to Him, knowing that He offers complete forgiveness to those who believe in Him.

Invite Him into your life through prayer. It doesn’t have to be fancy or formal – simply speak to Him from your heart as you would a dear friend sitting across from you.

Tell Jesus you want to follow Him and make Him Lord over every area of your life.

Ask Him to guide you by His Spirit each day. Then start walking with Him – reading the Bible to know Him more, talking to Him continually in prayer, and surrounding yourself with other believers.

The Christian life is a daily relationship with a Savior who is closer than a brother. He longs to commune with you personally.

Will you pull up a chair for Him today and begin the journey of knowing Him?

Say the below prayer referenced from Billy Graham.

“Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
